The Silk Road
Rosalind Robinson, oil painter and I proudly present our collaboration project, the Silk Road. For over a millennium, people had generated massive wealth on, along and around the routes. Many traders had also perished during the arduous journeys. Some artifacts have reached Nara, Japanese capital in the 6th and 7th century, and they are still in treasure halls in temples. Not only the goods, but also religion, ideas and arts had influenced Japanese culture. Along the routes empires were built, disappeared and replaced. The basis of the wealth, wars, deaths, diseases and Eurasia wide trading were silk moths. That is a most amazing fact to me.
